HOW TO LOCATE SOMEONE IN IMMIGRATION CUSTODY

If you believe your loved one is being held in immigration custody by ICE then you can use the online ICE Detainee Locator System to find them. You may search for them by their A# or by name. You will need to know their country of birth.

It may take up to 48 hours for ICE to process an individual after taking them into custody. If the person you are looking for was recently taken into ICE custody they might not show up in the system yet. There is nothing you can do but wait for the system to be updated.

NOTE: WEEKENDS DO NOT COUNT TOWARDS THE 48 HOURS.
